Our Team.

Mike Weeks

Founder/Director

In 2016, I set up Gymrun to support more children in more schools to move more, move well and build fitter futures. I have found a way to do this that is fun, inclusive and purposeful, forming innovative partnerships in education and health settings.

From 2001-2016, I worked as a PE teacher, Head of PE, Personal Trainer and Director of Sport, driving transformative changes in state and independent schools. During this time I saw the positive impact of improved fitness and physical development on all areas of children’s lives.

I am passionate about the value of children of all ages being taught by qualified and committed PE teachers. I teach the Gymrun Program in six primary schools (our Lead Schools), and as a bespoke NHS program for CEW children (with complications from excess weight), every week to this day.
